I was a researcher-of-one in the AWS Migration Organization, sitting outside of the central AWS UXR team. I supported 5 PMs across the globe to understand companies’ migration practices and help build products to accelerate adoption of the AWS cloud.
Building a capability and democratization
When I first arrived, I had no access to customers, tools, or processes because I was the first researcher-of-one on the team and sat outside of the central organization. So, I developed the UXR capability, including establishing processes and best practices and growing customer panel.
ux metrics
The product team wanted semi-annual metrics to track performance as new releases and features were pushed. The team also wanted a way to surface feedback through the product itself. As such, working closely with Design and Engineering, I created an in-product intercept platform that allowed us to track satisfaction and feedback.
